Our Story

Open Arms Compassion Doula Services began with a deep personal understanding that birth is one of the most significant, powerful, and vulnerable experiences in a person’s life. I was drawn to this work not simply as a profession but as a calling. After witnessing how the presence of a knowledgeable, compassionate support person can transform fear into confidence and uncertainty into strength, the desire to offer that support to others became impossible to ignore.
The name “Open Arms” was chosen thoughtfully. It reflects the support I strive to offer every day: care that welcomes families exactly as they are, regardless of birth plan, background, circumstances, or past experiences. From the beginning, my goal has been to provide warmth, expertise, and unwavering support, free of judgment or agenda. That belief shapes every client relationship, every labor room, every late-night phone call, and every joyful welcome into the world.
I serve families throughout our community and beyond because I believe quality doula support should be accessible, not exclusive. Open Arms was founded on the conviction that every mother deserves support delivered with dignity, skill, and genuine care. That conviction guides everything I do.

Today, Open Arms Compassion Doula Services isn’t just a business; it’s a heartfelt promise to every family I have the privilege of serving, ensuring they never face this journey alone. I truly appreciate the trust our clients place in us, and I cherish it with all my heart. Welcome to the warm, caring Open Arms family!

Our Mission Statement

“At Open Arms Compassion Doula Services, our mission is to provide heartfelt, evidence- informed, and personalized doula support that honors the uniqueness of each birth journey. I am committed to empowering mothers and families with the knowledge, confidence, and continuous care needed to experience birth and early parenthood with dignity, support, and joy.”

Our Core Values

Compassion First

Every interaction at Open Arms begins and ends with compassion. I lead with empathy, listening deeply to the needs, fears, and hopes of every family in our care. Compassion is not a soft add- on to our work — it is the very foundation upon which everything else is built. We believe that feeling truly heard and understood is itself a form of healing.

Empowerment & Education

Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools a birthing person can carry. I am committed to providing clear, evidence-based information to help our clients make informed decisions aligned with their values and wishes. Our goal is never too direct — it is to equip. An empowered mother is a confident mother, and confident mothers change the world.

Inclusivity & Respect

Open Arms is a safe, affirming, and welcoming space for families of all backgrounds, cultures, and birth preferences. I do not impose beliefs or judgments — I honor the beautiful diversity of every family’s story. Whether you are planning a home birth, I will prepare you for a safe home birth, a hospital birth, a medicated birth, or anything in between. You will be met here with full respect and unconditional support.

Continuous Support

Support does not disappear when labor begins or ends when the baby comes home. I am committed to being present across the full arc of your experience prenatally, during labor, and in the precious and sometimes challenging weeks that follow. You deserve a doula who is there not just for the big moments, but for all the quiet, uncertain, beautiful moments in between.

Meet Your Doula

I would love to introduce you to the heart behind Open Arms. Behind every service, every consultation, and every birth is a real person who chose this work with intention and devotion.

I believe every mother deserves to feel supported, informed, and deeply cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood. My heart for this work comes from a genuine love of walking alongside families during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives. I know that birth can bring a mix of excitement, vulnerability, questions, and hope, and it is my honor to offer a steady presence through it all.
As a doula, I bring compassion, calm encouragement, and evidence-informed guidance to every family I serve. I love helping clients understand their options, prepare for labor, and feel confident in the choices that are right for them. Whether I am offering practical education, emotional reassurance, or quiet support in a powerful moment, my goal is always the same: to help you feel seen, heard, and never alone.
Open Arms was created as an extension of that calling—to welcome each family with warmth, dignity, and wholehearted care. It would be a privilege to support you as you prepare to meet your baby and begin this new chapter.
